About
I’m Sim HoYeon, and I build game clients with Unity.
What I’m interested in
- Game development — how to design game systems and build them myself. Less about translating a design document into code, more about working out what kind of skeleton will still hold up when the thing grows.
- AI — on-device inference, and what actually works (and what doesn’t) when you wire AI into a game.
- Hardware — how CPUs and GPUs really behave. Why code is fast or slow usually comes down to this.
- Building PCs — parts, combinations, and measuring the results. A hobby, and hands-on practice for the point above.
About this blog
I write down the problems I hit while building things and how I worked through them — not just what went well, but also the designs I got wrong and had to tear out.
I also collect material on things that are new or that I want to try. Even if it isn’t going into a project right now, I’d rather have it written down for when I need it.
Background
- Unity game client development
- Unreal Engine digital twin R&D
- Security operations
- Physics degree
